BURUNDI & RWANDA
The Love of Jesus Christ Church
Pastor Jean Ngoga
The newest partnership with Hearts for the World International is Pastor
Jean Ngoga and the Love of Jesus Christ Church in Kigali, Rwanda and
Bujumbura, Burundi.
Pastor Ngoga became a Christian in 1986 and went into full time ministry as
a pastor in 1993. In 2003 the Lord gave Jean a vision to plant a church. As
Jean prayed he believed he was directed to the scripture verse in John 15:17,
"These things I command you, that you love one another." In 2004, the Love
of Jesus Christ Church was born in Kigali Rwanda. The church started with 17
people and now has a congregation of over 300.
In 2008 God directed Jean to start a 2nd church; this time in Bujumbura,
Burundi. The church now has over 150 people and meets in a tent on land
that is rented for $100 per month.
Through partnership with Pastor Joseph Nsabimbona and the U.S. Christian
Chamber of Commerce, Jean started the Christian Business Men and
Women's Association of Rwanda. This organization provides much needed to
support and encouragement for Christian business men and women in this
developing country.
After meeting Pastor Jean in June this year we felt strongly that we should
partner with him and bring his ministry under the covering of Hearts For The
World International. We are so blessed to know him and are very excited to
see how the Lord will develop our relationship and partnership for the future.
